| SDSMU Holds Reporting Session on 2024-2025 Students’ Overseas Academic Visits |

On the afternoon of Sept. 25th, 2025, SDSMU held a reporting sessiontitled “Embrace the World, Surpass Yourself” at the Fuyanshan Campus in order tosummarize the outcomes of students’ overseas research visits, shareinternational exchange experiences, and further promote the cultivation of internationaltalents. LiShibao, Vice President of the university, emphasized in his address that it wasof significance for students to experience overseas academic visits, which haveenriched their knowledge structure, and fostered their cross-culturalunderstanding and global competence. Students were encouraged to proactivelyseize international opportunities, step out of their comfort zones, effectivelycommunicate China’s medical stories within a global context so as to becomehigh-quality talents with both professional expertise and internationalperspectives. What’s more, to make more benefit from these opportunities, theuniversity would advance its internationalization, expand cooperation withtop-tier universities abroad and improve the support system for students’ overseasacademic visits. Sixstudent representatives from the School of Management, the First ClinicalMedical School, the School of Stomatology, the School of Foreign Languages, theSchool of Public Health, and the School of Pharmacy shared their experiences onapplication procedures, academic gains, cultural immersion, and personal growththrough examples, which displayed their growth in cross-cultural surroundings. TheFirst Clinical Medical School shared its promotion of international exchanges. Asfor existing overseas academic programs, the International Cooperation andExchange Office offered clear introduction for current students interested ininternational exchanges. Thesession presented initial results in international education and further inspiredstudents’ passion for global exchange by various forms, such as promotionalvideos, brochures, and live interaction. Furthermore, the university willcontinue to build high-quality exchange platforms and improve supportingsystems to drive high-quality development by high-level internationalization. Headsof the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Student Affairs Office,Academic Affairs Office attended the session, and so did representatives fromvarious schools, faculty, students, and all staff of the InternationalCooperation and Exchange Office.
