Delegation from Northeastern State University, USA, Visits SDSMU

On May 28th,a delegation led by Dr. Cari Keller, Vice President of Northeastern State University (NSU), USA, visited Shandong Second Medical University (SDSMU). Vice President Li Shibao met with the delegation.

Li briefly introduced SDSMU’s development history, academic disciplines and majors, talent cultivation, and international cooperation efforts. He also reviewed the achievements made in the previous collaboration between the two universities. Highlighting NSU's distinctive strengths in talent cultivation within fields such as Medical Laboratory Science, Optometry, Occupational Therapy Rehabilitation, and Biology, Li expressed hope that both sides could achieve mutual benefit through implementing projects like credit recognition, faculty and student exchange programs, scientific research collaboration, and academic exchanges.

After a brief introduction of NSU's education, Dr. Cari Keller hoped that this visit would further deepen the friendly relationship, establish a regular communication mechanism, and create landmark cooperative projects based on the solid cooperation between the two universities.

During themeeting, representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (School of International Education), the School of Medical LaboratoryScience, the School of Rehabilitation Medicine, the School of Life Science andTechnology, and the School of Clinical Medicine shared their respective development. Both sides engaged in in-depth communication and reached cooperative intentions regarding joint student cultivation programs, faculty and student exchange visits, and collaborative research initiatives.

Following themeeting, the NSU delegation held a presentation for students interested in their study abroad programs and then visited the School of Medical LaboratoryScience.
