On June 2, Professor Li Fuxin, Principal of The Australian School of Contemporary Chinese, Chairman of the Oceania Society for Chinese Language Teaching, and Head of our university’s Australia Overseas Talent Workstation, visited our university. President Guan Yingjun and Vice President Li Shibao met with the guest and held discussions.

President Guan Yingjun extended a warm welcome to Li Fuxin and said that since her leading a delegation to visit Australia this March, substantial progress has been made in high-level talent recruitment, scientific research collaboration, and postgraduate exchange programs. President Guan also expressed hope that both sides would take this meeting as an opportunity to implement previously reached initiatives, leverage the resources of the Australia Overseas Talent Workstation, and expand exchanges in areas such as faculty training, student and scholar exchanges, and talent recruitment. This would further strengthen the bridge between our university and Australia in medical international collaboration and high-level talent introduction. During the meeting, President Guan presented Li Fuxin with a letter of appointment, officially appointing him as a Visiting Professor of the university.

Li Fuxin expressed gratitude for the warm reception and looked forward to deepening communication and cooperation with our university. He pledged to fully utilize ASCC’s strengths to actively promote the university’stalent policies and development opportunities, contributing to the high-quality advancement of SSMU.

Following the discussion, Li Fuxin toured the university’s history museum and cultural & sports activity center.

Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (International Education College) and the affiliated hospital participated in the event.
