On October 23rd,President James C. Schmit of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and his delegation visited our university. President Guan Yingjun met with the delegation and held a discussion. Vice President Zhang Zhong also attended theevent. Guan Yingjun brieflyintroduced the school's development history, school-running characteristics, and international cooperation to the visiting guests. She points out that the university attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchanges. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is a well-known comprehensive public university in the United States with distinctive professionaladvantages. She believes that there is a broad cooperation potential between the two universities in the fields of rehabilitation therapy, nursing, andmedical-related disciplines. She hopes that the two universities could take this visit as an opportunity to further strengthen communication, enhance exchanges, and carry out mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as student exchanges, teacher visits, joint training, and scientific research cooperation, contributing wisdom and strength to promoting Sino-American educational exchanges. James C. Schmit thanked the university for the warm reception and briefly introduced the educational situation of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He highly praised our university's discipline construction and educational achievements, stating that the two universities share many commonalities in terms of program offerings and talent cultivation. He looked forward to exploring exchange programs together and achieving fruitful results in future cooperation. After in-depth discussions, both parties reached a consensus on carrying out teacher-student exchanges, talent cultivation, and scientific and technological innovation and signed a memorandum of cooperation. President Guan Yingjun signed the agreement on behalf of the university. During their visit,President Schmit and his delegation visited the School of Rehabilitation Medicine. Relevant officials from the Party Committee Office (University Office), International Cooperationand Exchange Office (International Education College), School of Rehabilitation Medicine, and School of Nursing participated in the event. |
