On September 10, Fitri Suraya Binti, deputy principal of Sarawak University in Malaysia, and her party visited our school. The president Guan Yingjun met with the delegation and had a discussion, and Lu Guohua, the vice president, attended the meeting. Guan Yingjun welcomed Fitri Suraya Binti and his party, and briefly introduced the school's development history, school-running achievements and international cooperation. She points out that the school attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchanges. The University of Sarawak is a well-known public university in Malaysia. The two universities have a broad prospect for cooperation in professional fields such as medical health, public health. She also hopes that the two universities will take this visit as an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding, exchange views friendly, and cooperate with each other to carry out in-depth and pragmatic cooperation in student training, teacher and student exchanges, and joint scientific research. Fitri Suraya Binti thanked the school for the warm reception, and briefly introduced the school running situation of the University of Sarawak. She said that the two universities had communicated many times in the early stages. This visit further deepened understanding and mutual trust, and she was confident in the future in-depth and solid cooperation. After in-depth communication, the two sides reached consensus on the academic visit and exchange of teachers and students, joint training of students, and medical scientific research cooperation, and signed a memorandum of cooperation. Lu Guohua signed a contract on behalf of the school, and said that the school will fully support the two parties to carry out in-depth cooperation. It is hoped that the two parties will build consensus and work together to strive for an early implementation of relevant cooperation intentions to allow high-quality international education resources to benefit more students. Relevant persons in charge of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office (the School of International Education), the School of Public Health, and the School of Management attended the event. It is reported that Universiti Malaysia Sarawak is a comprehensive public university in Malaysia's key construction. In 2024, it ranks 100-1200 among QS World University with key faculties like school of Medicine and Health Sciences, School of Cognitive Science and Human Development, school of Computer Science and Information Technology, School of Economics and Commercial, School of Applied and Creative Arts, School of Resource Science and Technology, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Engineering etc, and more than 1,7600 students are at the university. |
